Since becoming a Caregiver, I seem to have a pre-occupation not only with cleanliness but specifically with toilets.
If not with an overflowing toilet due to FLUSHABLE WIPES? which aren’t particular flushable than with the intense need to use to toilet.
It just seems to me that a great deal of my waking thoughts have to do with the toilet.
At night, I go to sleep hoping that when I wake up to use the restroom, I won’t have to first unclog a toilet that my Mother has somehow clogged with globs of toilet paper because she does not know how to ROLL IT BACK EVERYBODY!
At least once a day, I dance around having “to go” while my Mom takes an extraordinary amount of time in the Ladies Room. And the whole time that I’m waiting to use the toilet, I’m thinking, “maybe I should wear Depends.” IT DEPENDS
Thoughts of the toilet have actually given me nightmares. CAREGIVING IN MY DREAMS?
This Caregiver’s obsession with the toilet is one of the first habits I’m dropping on the road back to being me.
But in the meantime, I saw this commercial the other day and I thought to myself, “well that’s a cool commercial about a toilet.”
Seriously, now I am entertained by 30 second commercials about a toilet. And not only was I totally amused by the advertisement, but I also actually hit rewind and watched it a couple of times. It’s just rather sad that I am in a state of mind where I relate to toilet commercials.
That sounds suspiciously like a call for help and perhaps an indication that I may be losing my mind.
